Take a bath in the middle of the construction site

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new spa by architect Mario Botta marked a promising breakthrough. Before the first spa guests dive into the warm thermal waters in 2021, the construction of the new public thermal baths itself will attract lots of visitors right up until its opening.
You can enjoy Switzerland’s most mineral-rich thermal waters in the “Bagno Popolare” in the centre of the construction site. The temporary bathing pool is open to the public and offers a unique open-air bathing experience. Next door is the thermal bench, where you can dangle your feet in the warm water while enjoying the views over the River Limmat.

If you wish to delve deeper into the current construction project and the baths’ 2,000-year history, you can visit the Info Centre, where there is a diverse and multi-sensory exhibition with different installations. You can learn the location of the source of the thermal water and about what is in the pipeline for the baths over the next few years.

The Info Centre for the baths in the listed building is at Limmatpromenade 26, next door to Hotel Limmathof, and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
